Privacy Notice

What we collect

Your name, contact details, the answers you give in our questionnaire (which may include details about other people, such as the person you're in a dispute with), payment confirmation from Stripe (we never see your full card number) and messages you send us.

Why and lawful basis

• To prepare and deliver your document: contract.
• To keep accounts and tax records: legal obligation.
• To handle complaints, prevent fraud and improve our service: legitimate interests.
• For information about other people that you give us: our legitimate interests, and yours, in preparing your letter or document. We only use it for that purpose.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), our email provider, and, after payment, our AI drafting provider to prepare a first draft. They act on our instructions. We don't sell your data.

Transfers outside the UK

Some providers process data outside the UK. We rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

Questionnaire answers and documents: 12 months after delivery, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Order and payment records: 6 years.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@sortedlegal.co.uk. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

We are Cyber Essentials certified and use encrypted connections.
